“No Hate Speech: Methods and Techniques Combating Hate Speech”

The training course “No Hate Speech: Methods and Techniques Combating Hate Speech”  is designed in line with following objectives:

a) To develop participant’s competencies in the area of social exclusion, discrimination and hate speech, to raise their theoretical knowledge about key concepts, the roots of social exclusion and discrimination, the forms and consequences of hate speech and encourage sharing lessons learned across participating countries;

b) To raise competencies of the participants to effectively fight social exclusion, discrimination and hate speech in their countries and to contribute to creating social inclusive societies by implementing activities targeting young people including young people with fewer opportunities;

c) To increase the abilities of the participants to effectively use media tools in the process of fighting social exclusion, discrimination and hate speech and raise media literacy skills among young people;

d) To strengthen participant’s competencies to create and implemented campaigns fighting hate speech in their communities and contributing to fighting social exclusion and discrimination;

e) To increase participant’s competencies (teamwork, leadership, communication, conflict management) through participation in various non-formal based activities in intercultural settings;

f) To strength participant’s knowledge of Erasmus + Programme, especially Key Action 1, and to provide participants an opportunity to brainstorm and work on development new project ideas.

Key Activities:

Activity 1: Training Course (activity days 15.05. – 24.05. 2019), e-learning phase (20.2. – 20.4. 2019), Struga, Northern Macedonia

Activity 2: Seminar (activity days 21.08. – 27.08. 2019), on-going visibility activities, preparation for follow up activities. Braga, Portugal
